Hello Bazzities,
I'm totally new to Linux. Bazzite is my first Linux ever, I love it, so far.
Seems like I've managed most things in Bazzite, except, my "Sound Blaster X AE-5 Plus" Card.
I've set up "Virtual Surround Sound" according to the command from the Console.
So "Spatial Sink" in combination with an preferred HRTF profile is active.
I'm using a "Beyer Dynamics MMX300 Headset" connected via Jack (Klinke).
The Sound when playing Music is OK for me. Even when playing Videos.
But, the Virtual Surround Sound in Games (e. g. KCD2), unfortunately, is much worse than I used to have it it on Windows. I mean, it works, but there is actually a very big difference in quality, for me. So I could not enjoy playing KCD2 yet, on Bazzite.
>> The sounds are too low for my taste. Barking from "Köter" does not sound good, especially when I leave him in the forest.
>> Small sounds e. g. when using the inventory do sound low too.
>> The sound should be more clear and should have much more "Surround feeling".
I've also tried out several Community Presets in Easy Effects. But all Presets I've tried out, so far, make it more worse than good.
Below my System specs:
16 × Intel® Core™ i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
32 GiB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 16GB
1TB SSD (Samsung SSD 860 Pro) = for OS
1TB NVME (Samsung SSD 980 Pro) = for Gaming
MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon
Sound Blaster X AE-5 Plus
Beyer Dynamics MMX300 Headset
(Having Dual-Boot-System. Win11 is on another SSD)
Do you have any further ideas for improving the quality of my "Sound Blaster X AE-5 Plus"?
Thanks to everyone responding.
Cheers
