Moonlight from flatpak stalls at Starting Desktop but AppImage works
I've been trying to connect from one Bazzite PC to another Bazzite PC using Moonlight/Sunshine.
I installed Moonlight through Bazzar. In Moonlight, I can see the other PC, pair correctly and do a network test. When I try and connect it just hangs at Starting Desktop and Moonlight is Not Responding.
I downloaded the Moonlight AppImage package from GitHub and when I connect it all works correctly, I can connect to the Bazzite PC running Sunshine. With the AppImage I needed to establish another Pin code.
For the flatpak install, if I open a terminal and do the following:
sudo -iflatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=moonlight com.moonlight_stream.Moonlight
sudo -iflatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=moonlight com.moonlight_stream.Moonlight
I can then pair with the Sunshine PC and then can remote control the other PC no problems.
All I can ascertain here is that there is some permission issue running the flatpak install. I'm not sure where to take it from here. I could not find an answer here when searching for Starting Desktop, so hopefully this is of a help to others.
