Fps too low

I admit my pc is a potato. But without distant horizons I easily push to 150 fps, with distant horizons even at low graphics and low cpu load my fps often sip to 20, avg fps is 40 even at a small render distance of 32 chunks of distant horizons.

Plz help me improving my fps.
