I am struggling to send data to a bidirectional NMEA 0183 serial port. I can't seem to figure out the settings, so help is appreciated

I receive data from the e85001 raymarine interface box, but I would like to send some NMEA output too, for example TWS, COG, SOG and position, so I guess that's should be configured using the output events box.

Yes. That helped. Thanks.
The reason that I have been struggling might also be because you have to restart signalk server to make the connection start to send data (if this is a new setting). Maybe stopping and starting the connection also works, I haven't tested that yet. But just 'applying' does not seem to start the connection to send data.
