disable scaling in fullscreen apps/games on wayland
can scaling be disabled on bazzite so that when running a game fullscreen and at a resolution lower than the display the game will be surrounded by a black border instead of stretching to fill the display? I know this is doable using gamescope but im using an nvidia card and games frequently just lock up whenever trying to use it. I've looked around and can't find much about this. Most i've found is that on x11 using
xrandr --output DisplayPort-0 --set ‘scaling mode’ ‘Center’ would achieve the desired effect but nothing regarding accomplishing this on wayland or if its even possible.1 Reply
it's in settings
search x11 applications, and select "let applications scale themselves"
