What to store on SSD and HDD

While reading through the docs, many times it's recommended to store the DB on an SSD for a better overall experience.

I was wondering about the rest, but when looking I only found a reference in the TrueNAS section mentioning:

Thumbnails can also be stored on the SSDs for faster access. This is an advanced option and not required for Immich to run.

: I suppose there isn't any benefit in the daily experience having this on an SSD, besides faster dumps written to disk

: I guess this might benefit for faster access for the same reasoning as thumbs? I'm just an Immich user, not knowing the inner workings I don't know if this is noticeable and worth keeping on an SSD?
