SMTP Setup

I have a hosted Supabase instance and i am failing to set my SMTP client. I am using Netcup as server. I checked the settings a dozent times and they are also working on local as well of my selfhosted instance - but not on the histed one. The logs are not rly helpful, they just state \"error\":\"535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: authentication failure\",\"level\":\"error\" Are there anywhere more specific logs? Are there known issues with Netcup? I am rly stuck here and kinda confused how this, literally setting some configs, be so difficult.

You are the only hit in search for Netcup. The error is pretty clear something is wrong with the signin info.

Thx for the reply. I was also not able to find anything related to Netcup. I am using their Mail server on a bunch of different projects and they all works fine. Okay, I git it!!!! Wow that was a pain in the ass! I testet it with another Netcup account and it worked. And then i changed my password and it also worked with the original. Just had to confirm, but I think I just have a password that is not 'valid'?! y^@JBPaVyK8&r9!Wrebpb87zDwSFTZ4Dv*bkynK*hC4vSxg@x9$%Dz2TW6!dK$9p Is there any known character that should not be in the password? And if so shouldn't this be obvious in the Supabase UI?! Should i open a GitHub Issue?! @garyaustin

Probably a good idea. So the “bad” password works with another connection.

No, I did not test this. The other connection had another password. Do you have the ability to test this password on a hosted instance? Just want to make shure that i am not just somehow stupid before opening an Issue 😉 @garyaustin
