Game closing itself on launch

My game when i have mods installed inconsistently opens. I launch the game with mods, I see the Valve logo I get the blue loading circle on my mouse then the game closes. I try to launch without mods that still happens. The only way it works is if i disable all my mods.
I can get it to work occasionally if i disable and re-enable all my mods. I've tried going my mods one by one but that didn't get me anywhere. I've uninstalled all my mods, the mod manager, and deadlock but that didn't do anything. If there is anything else I need to include let me know.
