Arduino nano burned

So this is my setup i am powering the arduino nano from my pc usb it is must for me cuz it takes data from my input and the expansion board is taking 12v 5a and 2 mg996r servo is connected to the expansion board so whats wrong here why my nano got burned

thanks, now add some detail so others can help what expansion board? how did you connect 12v? (servos can't take 12v)

This the expansion board the servos are connected on the yellow pins and 12v is connected on the input

as near as I can tell that board is using the 5v regulator on the Nano to power the servos maybe you can power one or two servos that way https://forum.arduino.cc/uploads/short-url/gLelmv0kOT3hm2nX3RWTAIaDqEW.pdf

Only the arduino nano got burned Yes i am powering 2 servo So what am i doing wrong

you need to not power the servos with the Nano

Uh what should i do exactly

in future use external power for things like motors, solenoids and servos. you cannot power high current devices from an Arduino board.

I just didnt use the adapter anymore Only usb from pc now working fine And thanks for the help
