Best Lane, Best Lane Partner(s), Best/Worst match ups

I made a thread like this on the reddit when the game first launched, and I still think the general idea is good, especially for people coming in and looking for helpp and information about things. So I wanted to make a thread where in general people confident or interested in character specific knowledge could go into detail about a few specific things that can quickly and easily help new or confused players. This is posted in indepth, so remember, explaining briefly WHY a character is good or bad somewhere goes a long way. The proposed format: Character: Best Lane: Best Lane Partner(s): Best Match-ups (and how to play them): Worst Match-ups (and how to play them):

I'm not the best player but in the interest of getting things started I'll throw out my thoughts on some characters I play: 17 Best Lane: Top lane, its where most Tech should be anyways, the narrow obstacles at the top work well with funneling enemies into S1 and S2 blender when they go for Kai's. While damage is good, he's not necessarilly a great boss killer so he doesn't need to be on Bot for access to them. Best Lane Partner(s): Honestly, I think 17 is versatile enough that he plays well with most of the DPS. You just kind of have to match him to whichever one they're playing. If you have a roamer like a SSJ3 Goku you probably wanna play a little tankier and more defensive to deal with being left alone, but if you have someone like 18, Dabura then you wanna hit lots of S1 to slow and do big chip. If you go deep into damage he can work with the Tanks but it's not where he's best. Best Match-ups (and how to play them): Glass cannons, barrier up when needed, and just S1. If you can't do it yourself, S1 into S2 to lock them down and let your DPS chew them up. Worst Match-ups (and how to play them): Beefy tanks, S1 isn't gonna nuke them, it can do great damage, and flipping buffs is great, but the real Tanks are gonna slow walk through most of your stuff if they're built right. Good Freeza's can be annoying if you can't slow them, 17 isn't fast enough to keep up, and has limited mobility options to get around the summons and chase down a speedy rat. 18 Best Lane: Bot. She can work top, but I think in general she has better partners bot, and given that she doesn't have a full map teleport and isn't the fastest, keeping her Bot lets her be around the majority of bosses, and less obstacles helps her specific mobility issues. Best Lane Partner(s): Caulifa's provoke helps her not get exploded a lot. Cell Vegeta and Kooler also all help her run down her more mobile opponents and delete them. 17 can work, his S3 is good enough to keep her alive and his CC can help with dive and rush down. Gohan also gets mention, giving her enough bulk and helping deal out big damage. Best Match-ups (and how to play them): Pretty much anything Squishy is a blessing. Let someone else engage, if you can hit em with S1 go for it, then S2 in auto, if they're in range S3 for the finish if not Rush for a while then S3 spam till they die. Worst Match-ups (and how to play them): Big Tanks, or Strong Barriers. Don't engage alone. If there's someone else around for a 2v2 or team fight, take out the squishies first and let your tank hold them off until you clean up, then find your moment and go in. Don't get baited into diving a Kefla just to have her Transform and delete you

Ssj3 goku Best Lane: Top lane. Top for me feels the most complete for him. But while I'm still understanding his works, you wanna farm as much as you can so you can level up your s1 and your ult/transformation. You can farm the kai without going in close bc he can snipe. Best Lane Partner(s): Honestly, Freeza and buu are the best with him. Buu can heal him while goes to damage and freeza just naturally works well with him. Best Match-ups (and how to play them): Ssj3 can do very strong damage. The best utility is IT Kamehameha or dragon fist Kamehameha. He does well against most dps and tanks as well as tech. Worst Match-ups (and how to play them): Dabura. Dabura is a problem for him solely bc of his spit. Cooler can melt through him as well as caulifla.

Krillin Best Lane: Top, you generally want to be around squishy opponents, Krillin is pretty much a midrange caster. Prioritize energy mine and solar flare, when being aggressive you can layer mines on top of each other while on the defensive side you can spread em out in your tower, or spread out in lane when you and your partner need to retreat. Solar can set up your Ult for more damage but you're also using it to force an opponent to back off "and offensively too". Scatter wave will leave you vulnerable. The main scenarios were you'll use this is close range where it ends immediately, long range when your sure you're safe to pick off a weak opponent, or team fights. Prioritize marking an opponent " the rest of your kit applies this debuff" before Ult so it can track, if the opponent has 3 debuffs, it will boost damage Best Lane Partner(s): Ssj1 Goku, 18, Trunks, Piccolo. You generally want a teammate who can quickly down weakened targets, but if paired with Piccolo, you can control your enemy team's movement in lane, with energy mine and solar flare giving Piccolo time to set up his own kit. Best Match-ups: Squishies, Hit isn't going to do much in lane if you have energy mines on tower and solar ready, if he charges close to you, layer mines to force a retreat. Most close range characters will be deterred from mines in general. Worst Match-ups: Long range characters, But specifically Bojack - early game your not going to be in range to solar flare and he can render your mines useless, your relying on teammate to charge in to make a quick 2v1, solar flare so he can't get away as easy, disrupt his farming when you have the opportunity so he won't be an issue late game, Frieza will also be a problem do to his movement and minion placement, rely on your teammate and rush attack to get rid of minions "Scatter shot can help here as well". Characters with long health bars won't be an immediate issue but don't 1v1 against them if their at full health.
