hardware acceleration on browsers with Nvidia

Hello everyone. I installed bazzite on my quite old PC today. It has an i7 2600k and a GTX1070. I choosed bazzite, because I have a steam deck since 3 1/2 years and I love familiarity. Pretty much everything I wanna do on this PC works fine. Except hardware acceleration on every browser. (I use chrome, but same problem on firefox) Google didn't helped me much, that's why I open this issue. Is there anything I can do to have hardware acceleration working?

there is an ujust to configure nvidia and enable vdpau for firefox to get hardware acceleration no reason to use non flatpak versions (and especially not ones installed with rpm-ostree)

I'm a super noob. I downloaded firefox and chrome and somehow managed to install them and now both have hardware acceleration. I would love to use flatpaks, but I couldn't get it to run. But whatever now I'm happy πŸ™‚

did you try to update your system, it should pull in the flatpak drivers if they are not installed properly, there will be no acceleration whatsoever in flatpak apps
