Animations and desktop running at low Hz

Hi! I just installed Bazzite on my PC, but I feel like the screen animations are slow. I have a 144Hz monitor, but everything feels like it’s running at 30Hz. Is there any solution? Could I be missing a driver? I don’t know why it feels like this, but it’s really uncomfortable.

Check the display settings and make sure you're not running at a lower refresh rate. Also, what's your GPU?

According to the display settings, my refresh rate is set to 144Hz. I’m now testing CS2 on the Linux distribution, and it supposedly runs at 180fps, but it feels capped at 30–60. yep

So you're fine on the driver front. Did you check your display settings in the Settings menu?

I had actually already replied to that @NeoChaos

Oh my bad I assume 180 is what the Steam overlay is saying about performance?

The game itself is showing it to me.

It’s fine. I normally use Windows, and the Hz work correctly there.

thing is, doesn't seem like it's anything on Bazzite's end. you have the right driver, refresh rate is set correctly and game is performing as expected it feels like it might be hardware, so that's why I suggested a setting on the monitor itself but you said it works fine in Windows, so it can't be that yeah, unfortunately I'm kinda stumped here.

I’ll try reinstalling Bazzite on an experimental version. It’s possible that something I did at the beginning caused some issue. hey
