Mic stopped working despite being detected.
I've been playing a little with mic settings because i was trying to figure out how to make my cheap JBL headset mic to sound alright without picking what i would listen to. Nothing much besides moving the slider in settings, discord and installing Easy Effects which i would end up uninstalling because i didn't want to fuck something else without knowing. Well, my mic stopped recording randomly and anything i would do won't fix it. Changed the jacks, fiddled with the sliders again, restarting the pc. Nothing. It still detects it, but there is no sound recorded from the mic. Could one of you help me figure out what to do or at the very least figure out if it is a software problem or if my mic gave up on me. My mobo audio chip is a Realtek ALC897, according to alsamixer.
