Linux and Graphics API?

hello!! i was hoping if someone could help me with this as i'm very new to linux, only recently installed it to test the waters and so far everything is going smooth! however, one game i enjoy frequently says that I need to change my Graphics API if its really dark, and I've tried searching around but I haven't gotten much from it so this is my last resort. i think its good to mention that i am using a nvidia 3050. also, here's a picture of how it currently looks..

ah! well i found out how to do it. initially i was messing around in plasma renderer, which i thought is similar enough and would work, however... youre right! it was the graphics api that roblox is using, i happened to take another look at the actual settings for the app.. so hopefully if anyone looks back for the same issue (though i doubt it) i hope this'll help em...

what game is it?

The thing that they are alluding to in that suggestion would be an in-game setting Not something that happens in the operating system

exactly, which is why knowing what game it is would be helpful to know where that setting is hiding (maybe it's just in a config file)

its a game called nullscape on roblox, i tried every setting within roblox, and within the game itself settings, so im not sure what other options there are to try for either or tbh

so i assume what the nullscape devs mean is you need to change the graphics API roblox is using. i don't know how you're running roblox, and i've never played roblox so i'm just sharing things i'm reading, but if you're using Sober https://vinegarhq.org/Sober/Configuration/index.html mentions use_opengl which defaults to false and says
Uses OpenGL instead of Vulkan as the graphics API, useful as a workaround for certain issues, like "OutOfMemory" reperated crashes
