Email Notifications Stopped Sending

Hi,

I've had email notifications set up for a while now, but sometime last week, email notifications stopped being sent, despite everything on the email server side seemingly working. I checked the Immich logs using the Docker CLI, and found these suspicious errors:

I went and checked if I accidentally revoked the SMTP credentials, and even manually sent a test email using a regular email client, but I can't get Immich to successfully send any kind of email.

What do the errors mean? Does the issue seem to be on the Immich end of things, or the SMTP server end?

Yes, I've went into my email webui, and manually sent an email from it, and saw it get delivered.

I went and checked the emails sent from the address I use for Immich, and the last one was sent on Oct 14th.

There haven't been any changes to the email code and it's still working for most. How exactly does your mail server infra look like? Are you self-hosting?

No, I use ProtonMail with my custom domain, and generate an SMTP token that I input into the Immich admin webui.

I've even tried to generate a new SMTP token, and put it in the Immich webui, but when I hit "send test email and save", I get a yellow popup saying "Immich server error"

The issue was caused by me accidentally putting a "" symbol into the "From address", which somehow got saved, and subsequently broke the notifications.
