It is not possible to launch DisplayLink
I have just installed Bazzite on my Steam Deck. I am doing this primarily to be able to use native support for the DisplayLink driver, as mentioned on the main page. However, after connecting the device to the docking station, it does not work.
I also tried to use the command
ujust enable-displaylink, but it shows me that there is no such recipe.6 Replies
Try rolling back to 42.20250911 of Bazzite https://github.com/ublue-os/bazzite/issues/3298#issuecomment-3431274101
You should be able to rebase to it by running
brh rebase stable-42.20250911 and stay on that image for a while until DisplayLink support is added back. When it's fixed you can run brh rebase stable to go back to the stable release channelThank you very much for your help with this issue. This solution worked. In desktop mode, I can definitely see the image on both screens. However, in gaming mode for some reason the monitor goes black, as if the driver is not working. Is there any way to resolve this?
Try setting game mode to work on the other monitor https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/quirks/#how-do-i-specify-the-correct-monitor-for-gaming-mode-to-use-htpc-only

Other than that, I have no idea
I did that, but it didn’t help. In my opinion, the problem is that in gaming mode the driver turns off
It could be. Unfortunately I don't have any devices with display link to test
