replace image metadata

I did a commandline import of many images from a directory structure, but the timestamps on many of the files were incorrect.
Is it possible to correct the timestamps on the files (a fairly simple script) and then re-upload without having to delete everything? Ideally, I'd like to point immich CLI to the folder of images and have to automatically update the timestamps of the database from the files, i.e overwrite the metadata for all the images.
