selecting "performance" power plan doesn't change the CPU governor
i usually have to change it via the terminal. is this normal behaviour? I'm on the GNOME version of Bazzite desktop

yes, performance governor has been a bad idea on modern CPUs for the last decade
I see. Why is it that when I do switch it to performance, my frames in VRChat jump in an increment of 20 - 40 fps?
an increment of 20-40 out of how many?
what gpu/cpu
6700xt 12gb xfx
5700x undervolted to -20 via pbo scale
Gpu is also -40 mv
I do like the distro. Just wish things worked a little easier
maybe the undervolt of the CPU is playing a role
Possibly
You can edit the tuned profile for performance
I'll look into
It
how would I go about doing that?
you're talking about a specific Bazzite profile? or a BIOS profile?
you can edit the tuned config files if you want performance
but I would first remove your undervolts
i see
to see if the undervolt affects performance
or even power efficiency
i'll try it out
