Is immich-go discarding half my pictures with every upload?

I've just been uploading today into a new immich installation and getting a lot of discrded messages. Then I found this on github:

I'm using immich-go version 0.28.0 to do the upload. So were they really not uploaded, or was the message the thing in error? Do I need to re-upload, and will that cause issues, hash duplications etc?

Discarding could mean that the files in there are not images or related files @Catalina28TO
