Alden Indy commando sole - icy sidewalks?
I'm in the market for some Indys, but my top priority for boots is excellent traction when the sidewalks are icy.
I have a pair of Thursdays Captains with a commando sole and they are still slippery in snow/ice. I chalk it up to poor quality rubber that hardens in the cold, but I'm no expert.
Does anyone have any experience wearing Indys on ice? I'm specifically referring to the sole that comes on this model:
