Strange flickering bug with some visual effects
SOLVED: I am a buffoon, turn on frame skip.
Been playing a calamity world for a while, and noticed a minor (SEEMING) visual bug. When an item appears near the cursor, like when holding a pickaxe or hovering over a chest, the item would flicker. Annoying, but whatever.
But then I entered hardmode, and I have wrath of the gods enabled. I don't have a recording of this, but a visual effect of a rift appears in the sky, and the sky starts flickering black. I'm not dealing with that, and clearly this issue is more major than I thought, so I figured I'd fix it. It is not the fault of any of my mods, I have systematically disabled them all. All terraria and tmodloader files are intact. IT STILL HAPPENS. I am desperate, and so figured I would reach out here to see if anyone's got a fix. Genuinely no idea what could be causing this.
