Distrobox slowness

Hey folks,

Just installed the OS and am setting up an Ubuntu Distrobox for some unsupported packages, and after installing the container via the

ujust

ujust

script, I'm in the container and running

apt

apt

commands with an insanely slow speed (pic attached, installation has taken ~30minutes). A speed test in my browser shows dozens of MB/s, anyone know if there's something unique about the Distrobox setups?

Solution

Most likely a mirror issue. This regularly happens to me too on arch and fedora containers, but refreshing mirrors usually improve speeds
