IOS - "shared album" image size and quality reduced on sync to immich
Hello team, I hope that this is the correct forum to ask this question. I am new to Immich, but I am seeing inconsistant behavior with images that are syncronized shared albums on iOS.
Example case - I created a shared album. I added pictures from my device to that album. HEIC format image that was around 2.5MB was replaced with a 600K JPG to the Immich server.
If I add the same picture to a local, user specific Apple Photos album, the HEIC image is correctly synchronized - the issue only seems to be happening on shared albums.
This would seem like a bug, but want to check if I am doing something wrong that I can correct, or if I should file issue (and what I should collect) on Github. Appreciate the insights. running 2.1.0 on Server (TrueNAS package) and device, IOS 26.0.1
I tried disabling the "new" timeline, but the problem persisted.
