Potential lack of support for Vanilla Core Shaders?

Wynncraft released a new update in August 2025 called "Wardrobe Wonders", which featured some changes in gameplay, but most notably featured a massive graphical overhaul as well as new player customization features, namely the "glint" feature, which allows you to color your armor to whichever color you managed to unlock via their Silverbull Subscription service. I'm making this post to let it be known that allegedly the developers of Wynncraft have managed to utilize a feature introduced in the "Vanilla Core Shader" to recolor your armor pieces, that Iris, or any shader for that matter, doesn't seem to distinctly support. The end result is that colored cosmetics proceed to look green. This also applies to any player that recolors their armor AND their weapon should they choose to recolor it. I wouldn't mind if any developers related to Iris or their own shaders have a word with Wynncraft's developers to look more into this if this hasn't been looked at yet. This conflict severely bothers me as I'm able to run shaders and Wynncraft, but with colored cosmetics making myself and other players look green, it makes me less likely to either engage with cosmetic customizations (that I had to pay for btw), or the amazing shaders the community has released to the public. Wynncraft is a Vanilla Minecraft server, so you can join on this sevrer with Sodium and Iris and get the same result as this feature is embedded on their server.

this is intended well, not intended it's impossible as the name implies, those change the core shaders of the game you cannot have two different types of shaders active at the same time

But I don't get it, if the core shaders are being directly replaced with another, couldn't there be an opportunity to support what's missing? The end result could have been a horrid graphical mess, but instead, it's just... green

well technically yes, but that would be entirely up to the shaderpack author to do
