input-remapper stopped injecting with recent update
Have been using input-remapper for months now, simple Razer mouse with 2 side buttons, mapping them to shift_L and ctrl_l for quick action bar usage on MMOs. auto-loads on login/reboot and no issues until today.
"ujust-update" today was all but 2 chunks, and afterwards input-remapper appears to be "working" except that in the preset you can see it's stuck in "Starting injection...". It sees my inputs, preset adds remaps just fine - just stuck on "injecting".
"sudo pkill -f input-remapper" from the internet did not work
tried deleting ~/.config/input-remapper-2/ folder as well

I saw other users reporting razer drivers weren't updated / built for the new version
I assume they should show up in the near future, but for now I'm not sure razer devices work with Bazzite 43
this is because input remapper hasnt built a release that supports python 3.14

I have the same issue. Will we need to wait until Bazzite includes any Input Remapper update in the OS image? Or can the update be done without an image update? Edit: just adding I'm using a Razar Tartarus V2 gamepad.
wow, thanks everyone for the feedback/info. Even if it still doesn't work, it feels much better knowing it's a known issue. I suppose I could rollback image until then.
is it fixed for you?
@UnLeashDemon Nope. Pretty sure Bazzite needs to include the Remapper fix in their image. From waht i can tell the python issue linked above was completed.. not sure what steps get done now to get all squared away. I'll prob rebase back to 42 if it's not fixed soon.
@smokeejoe yeah i just updated my container file to bazzite-dx-nvidia:stable-42.20251019, this great if something breaks we can just go wherever it works lol.
yes, me too - I rebased to the 42.20251019 as well
Hopefully theres an update to bazzite to fix this
@Galdur Frostbeard rebase to 42.20251019 will make it work again until it's updated. incredibly easy to do
The creator of input-remapper just released a new version with Python 3.14 update, wait till fedora repo updates it.
any word?
would we monitor bazzite, blue, or fedora releases to know when we're getting it on our live image?
new update has been added to fedora 43 repos, we just have to wait for new bazzite stable release
speaking of which, I saw that it should be already on latest stable, update your systems 🙂
input-remapper should work now bazzite team pushed a image with updated package.
Solution
tested with the last release, that works !

Been lurking, thanks for updates/info going to try updating today
