Bluetooth going nuts after BT_CLR
I'm on Linux Mint OS, I'm not sure if this changes anything.
I just got my corne working last night and I'm in the learning phase/trying to get used to the keyboard. For this kb, I chose the default profile for a 6 column Corne layout on Typeractive site. So far the keyboard is working great, no connection issues.
The issue is: If press the BT_CLR, it start a crazy infinte loop where it will quiclky disconnect and connect from my computer many times in a second, for as long as I don't turn off either the Corne or bluetooth on my machine. Also, the keyboard doesn't trully connect to the computer untill I restart both the keyboard and the bluetooth (It says it's connected but it doesn't let me type anything). Changint bluetooth profiles on the Corne won't fix this as well.

Thanks for the detail. What you’re seeing after BT_CLR is almost always a “bond mismatch.” BT_CLR clears the bond on the keyboard for the active profile, but your OS still has the old bond saved. The host keeps trying to reconnect with the old keys, ZMK advertises as new, and you get rapid connect/disconnect.
Do a clean re-pair like this:
1) On Linux: open Bluetooth settings and remove/forget every saved entry for your Corne (there can be multiple).
2) Toggle Bluetooth off/on on your PC.
3) Power on only the left half.
4) On the keyboard, select the profile you want to use (BT_SEL 0–4), then press BT_CLR once on that profile.
5) From Linux, pair to the left half. Confirm you can type.
6) Turn on the right half. If needed, press reset on both halves once to re-link them.
If you’ve ever paired the same computer to multiple profiles, cycle through profiles 0–4 and press BT_CLR on each, then remove all entries on Linux before pairing again. A device can’t be bonded to more than one profile at once.
If issues persist, try pairing the left half to a phone first to confirm the keyboard is fine; if it works there, it’s likely a host-side Bluetooth issue. If you want, reply/tag me with:
- Which firmware you flashed (6-col with/without nice!view)
- Which profile number you’re using when pairing
- Whether the left half types when shown as connected
Happy to help you get it sorted!
