modrinth not starting properly
Modrinth does not start up properly. I have normal minecraft installed and reinstalled modrinth multiple times (uninstall with warehouse). When starting up, it opens a new process in the taskbar, shortly opens a new process with a black window which has a white W on yellow ground as an image, works for 1 or 2 seconds in the background and then ends.
Idk how to get at an error code (quick google search didn't help, as i haven't found the executable) but I have no popup or smth like that.

hmm launches fine for me
you can launch the app from the terminal to get more info
how? I've only found explanations on how to launch executaboles, not installed programs
like, I have to know the file location
com.modrinth.ModrinthApp
run in the terminllike this? Command not found
hmm how did you install it?
bazzar
is it currently installed?
yep

flatpak run com. modrinth.ModrinthApp is the commandyeah that's the full thing
though normally the shortform also works
This error message
not here though
anything more?
nope

(the red error was a mistake in tealmangos command, he put a space behind com.)
Oops, the mobile keyboard I use tends to put spaces after punctuation and I missed that one
try
flatpak override --reset com.modrinth.ModrinthApp
& launch after
well, it gave more
If all of this doesn't lead to a fix, Prism launcher is the most popular one as far as I know so it might work better
thing Is that I used modrinth on windows and have a few things already setup there. Migrating that would be annoying....
try
flatpak repairnope, same error.

do you mind deleting the app's data?
the only other problem i could think of is that
no, I don't mind, how would i do that? reinstalling didn't help so i am guessing it is somewhere else?
flatpak remove --delete-data com.modrinth.ModrinthApp will dosame error, just once instead of three times
warehouse also has the option somewhere

btw, I reinstalled over bazzar
maybe downgrading the app will help
how? I can see the version history but not how I would change the version
sudo flatpak update --commit=968b1ed9d62d54909d09343189a80d9ef8df84d3dde62736ac858c4d7f8cb8a0 com.modrinth.ModrinthApp
this will downgrade it to the previous versionnope, same error
next idea is make a new user install the app there & see if it runs
I'll try that
well, my pc froze when I tried to change users...
restart it is
well, it's already installed, so no can do...
at least according to bazzar
when starting through terminal, flatpack thinks it isn't
so bazar installs apps for all users by default
nice to know
oh
maybe it isn't
well, when I try to install with command, it says
/stable is intalled but when running it tries to find /master
lemme check
something
flatpak run --branch=stable com.modrinth.ModrinthAppsame error

welp the flatpak no workey for you
maybe try the appimage
btw, it seems the rpm image may have a similiar problem

the flatpak isn't official the appimage is
