What to add to my wardrobe?
I always use the same combination:
- White t-shirt (H&M)
- Black t-shirt (H&M)
- Loafers (brown or black)
- Grey wool dress pants
- Belt (brown or black)
But I'd like to add mroe stuff to this. I mean, maybe a polo shirt, a blazer maybe? I don't have a lot of money, and I live in a tropical region, so I'm looking to add things little by little that go well with this kind of weather and with my body type (slim). I chose those clothes because I think they're old money? I like that classic, elegant style... So, what do you think? Thank you in advance!

Hi @Sappy! For better answers, include:
- Reference pictures
- Budget in numbers
- Specific measurements
- Openness to buying secondhand and/or online
- Location: country/continent is fine
- Timing/urgency
a few things:
- dressing for your body type isnt a real thing for the most part
- questions about "what should i buy" are really tough to answer because we do not know your tastes
- look at pictures of people wearing outfits you like, see what clothes they are wearing that you do not have, and come back here if you need help identifying these pieces
all that aside, a sportscoat of some kind probably isnt a bad purchase if you don't have one yet
you can probably find a sportcoat in linen if you live somewhere hot

echoing what douubleyouu said, If you can check out #waywt #inspiration #👕🗡-round-of-16 #waywt-highlights or outside sources and find some outfits that fit how you want to dress it can make it a lot easier to identify what gaps you might have that you want to fill

FWIW, I think there are a lot of lovely linen or light button-down options that fill that "basic" shirt role and would also work open over a tee, but be less stifling than a full jacket. Camp collars, maybe a short-sleeve chambray shirt? Depends on what you like. Uniqlo has affordable stuff that has nice shapes, as does Muji. I have also gotten a lot of stuff by signing up for J Crew marketing emails and never buying until they do 70% off, with great success at picking up nice stuff for ridiculously low prices.
