Gaming Headset either Stereo or choppy

Analog stereo sounds clear but as it says, its just Stereo, sucks for gaming. "Pro Audio" seems to do better but audio is extremely choppy at times. any fix or alternatives?

So turns out, "pro audio" also produces choppy input audio while gaming.

I tried fixing it with "ujust setup-virtual-surround", but that just creates a spatial sink which sounds absolutely horrible alternatively, since I solved my lack of printer driver support with a new printer, are there headsets which natively support more than stereo out of the box on bazzite?

a quick question for you: is this a bluetooth or a wired headset?

headset can be used wired, 2,4ghz (dongle) and bluetooth

and does it have volume controls on it?

yea

this is just a sanity check for an issue i'm having, but when you use the volume controls on the headset (in bluetooth mode), does it change the system volume like volume buttons on your keyboard would?

heh. now that you mention it, no, it doesn't. I see you are a fellow helldiver πŸ˜„ offtopic, do you have dualscreen, if so, do you have a fix for the mouse escaping the game window? I always hit escape twice every new dive.

i'm only on a single screen setup, but if you're willing to screw around with gamescope a little bit, try using --force-grab-cursor

yea tried that, didnt work for me somehow. but I'll give it a go again at some point

you probably also need to use the -s option in there as well also what's with stereo sucking for gaming?

I guess the headset dongle lacks a proper driver and bazzite defaults to stereo

i'm not sure if this applies to your headset, but in the past i have had issues with the audio quality of my headphones when the mic is turned on and my solution was to simply turn it off (there's also ujust toggle-bt-mic) helldivers 2 for some reason really liked to use the hands free mode (shit audio, forcibly using the headset mic) when i was playing on windows. Turning the hands free mode off led to a significantly delayed bluetooth connection time which became the final straw for me to abandon windows

sry for the late response, thanks for the tip πŸ˜„ I think it wouldn't do much in my case. I just wonder if a different headset would be showing more audio channels without any tinkering.
