i had the same issue, i had to disable (in windows settings) every other output and input except my hyperx headset
wheres that
right click the speaker bottom right, then click sounds
then there is a playback tab and a recording tab
right click disable everything in playback except your main headset
wheres playback tab
i cant see either of those in my sound settings
top left
i only see open volume mixer and sound settings
idk where playback tab is

I can tell you that sometimes I randomly stop hearing too, usually have to restart. But I think this is a common issue

Hi, I also had this issue and found out that other players could not hear me either (despite icon showing that I was speaking).
For me the fix was to enable "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" in windows 10 settings>privacy>microphone.
this aint my issue though

Maybe the mic volume being 0 is somehow impacting your ability to hear others' microphones?
