How to increase vanilla render distance.
So, I play multiplayer and single player, and for some reason, there's no way to actually increase the vanilla render distance to make the LOD chunks render further away. I have pretty good computer, so performance is not an issue. Is there actually any way to do this in the settings? I got this to work in my single player world, but not int he multiplayer one. The Minecraft version is 1.21.8, the server is hosted on essential.

if you're the one joining their world, pretty sure they'd need to increase their render distance. they're the server

this is a limitation imposed by the server
assuming you're the one joining someone else's world
this impacts clients on the server, they won't be able to set their view distance larger than it, because it's not entirely a clientside thing
