Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't run

When launched a window shows up and it closes down even faster. I don't even have any logs to share, I clicked on the "Report a problem ..." but it just says no logs. I am using "proton-cachyos", I also tried running it with "GE-proton-latest" and "GE-Proton10-15", I tried setting env vars, but nothing is working. I am at a complete loss.

Play now with logs option is the one you gotta use. Instead of just "play now" But does any other game work? And is your filesystem ntfs?

I don't even know what red mod it is talking about here, I had thought that redmod was perhaps messing with the execution so removed it, but it says here red mod not found or something

disable mods in game page > 3 dot menu > modify installation

Yeah the above log is precisely of that I had disabled red mod itself Just the phantom liberty expansion

Okay so I just executed the REDPreLauncher.exe by itself like from the file explorer and it worked like it launches perfectly

I set the umm alternative exe to that and now the game output says this

I don't want to hijack any posts but I am having similar (same?) behavior with Cyberpunk.

Since the Bazzite Fedora 43 update, GOG Cyberpunk 2077 (no mods) crashes right after RedLauncher and at the initial Cyberpunk splash screen. Prior to the update it was launching without any problems. I have tried multiple re-installs and different Proton layers (GE-Proton, CachyOS, EM) but all have the same result. Up to this point Bazzite and Heroic Games Launcher have been rock solid for me, so I am a bit lost. Logs attached.

in this case it seems like some file is missing or corrupted this issue is different but try deleting REDlauncher directory from drive_c/users/steamuser/appdata/local/programs/cd projekt red

is there a way to use a different version of GoGDL? Because that seems to be the only problem here. When I launch the game directly from explorer, it works just fine

can you confirm all goggame-<id>.info files are in the directory? and there is no other version as we never seen this issue before

I am sorry but I am not sure what all files you mean but yes there are several gog files present in the directory wish the sale was on steam rather than Gog 😭, gog is absolutely terrible.

thanks for the help! I removed the folder from that directory and tried to launch the game again. It brought up the Redlauncher and I clicked "play" then the Cyberpunk initial splash screen showed for less than a second and the launch crashed. I have included the new log.

I am not sure how, but well I reinstalled the game completely Now it works just fine with GE-Proton-Latest With proton-cachyos the launcher only shows a black screen but whatever at this point I guess, it works with latest Also this time I installed the game without REDMod DLC but I am still somehow getting it, I don't know why Doesn't seem to be an issue though, game launches and works just fine now
