Arduino Braccio Assembly Gripper

Hello so I just bought a Arduino Braccio and I'm having issue with assembling the motor. I have the instruction below. I'm trying to insert the motor like the manual but Its gets stuck. I can't push it any further than in the picture below, the screws don't even reach the screw hole. Is it possible arduino messed up the dimensions? Because I really cannot push the motor any further down. Has anyone had similar issues? Would it be possible to obtain a STL for this part and edit it to make the hole slightly bigger and 3D print it? I would appreciate any insights and advice, thanks
