Black screen Final fantasy 16

So I'm attempting to play this on bazzite with a hx370 AMD based handheld PC. Game runs fine but I'm at a point in the game where certain cutscenes/movies just glitch out or trigger a black screen. Happening in both gaming and desktop mode. I dual boot and when I test on windows, the cutscenes play as they should. Not sure what the issue could be. Attached a screenshot of the subtitles showing but no video.
