Had an issue which I thought I got through, now have another.

Details:
Immich containers running on a linux pc. Version 1.141.1 Upload location is an NFS mount to a shared folder on my Synology NAS. Had it all working fine for a long time. Synology DSM update broke my UID and permissions, so I set my shared folder and NFS permissions to "Everyone/FullControl" and moved on. My immich_server container wouldn't start because the .immich test files were still owned by another user and had restrictive permissions. I fixed those and then the immich_server container started up. My mobile app (2.2.3 build.3026) connected again and started uploading everything it hadn't from my phone since the server broke. Now the mobile app shows my current photos as "backed up" and I can view them. But when I go to the web interface of immich, all the "new" photos show "error loading image." and are greyed out. The images uploaded prior to the permissions issue still display fine.

I upgraded to the latest version and migrated DB to vectorchord, as per instructions on the website. I thought maybe that would fix it. But it's the same. Basically, Immich thinks it has each pic/video from my phone that was uploaded just now when I got the server back online, but the media seems to actually be missing. Every photo/video uploaded AFTER August 7, 2025 seems to be greyed out and says "Error loading image" when viewing on the localhost:2283 where the server lives. In the mobile app where the images were uploaded from (and still exist on the mobile device, presumably) they show up in Immich photo list. Attached the docker startup log (post upgrade to 2.2.3). Each time I tried to click a photo that appeared to be missing, there's an entry in the log to the tune of "No such file or directory"

I've verified that the photo is actually there on my Synology, uploaded from my phone. When I browse to the files under my user's upload/user-guid/60/85, the PXL_xxxx.jpg file is there and viewable and full resolution. So it seems like more of a thumbnail or display problem in Immich?

Still had permissions issues with the "thumbs" subfolder. Got all my chown and chmod issues resolved, regenerated missing thumbnails, all is good. /close
