Failed to check user authentication
I am getting this error when clicking "Connect w VSCode"
Which is strange because I can browse the website just fine on my local and the Chrome App is working just fine

This is working fine on my laptop (a different device) and it works without flaw
the ip is reachable, and definately works (otherwise I wouldnt be able to go to the UI to begin with)
any help on where to even start debugging this issue?
I've tried clearing the dns on mac using
sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; [5, 14]sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
and then logging into coder using the extension, still the same error. but using the CLI on the same machine works fine

I have never seen this issue before. Did you try searching our repos for any previous resorts
Check both coder/coder and coder/vscode-coder
