Steam login issue with -steamdeck flag on Bazzite
I'm experiencing a persistent login issue with Steam. After extensive troubleshooting, I've isolated the problem.
Summary:
-Launching Steam from the desktop icon (steam-bazzite) forces a login every time after a reboot.
-Launching it directly with /usr/bin/steam from a terminal works correctly and saves my credentials.
-I've confirmed that the issue is caused by the -steamdeck parameter. Running /usr/bin/steam -steamdeck manually also fails to save my login.
-Standard fixes like ujust fix-reset-steam, manually resetting the ~/.steam/steam/config folder, and checking permissions have not solved the problem.
It seems there is a fundamental incompatibility on my system between the Deck UI and the credential saving process. The only workaround is to create the disable_steamdeck_flag file.
