I assume that tv is near ancient so they are not always perfect 1080p displays
In some cases, they scale correctly with 1080i resolution
And usually only one of the hdmi ports on those could support proper 1080p, others are garboleum in my experience
In some cases only bothering to scale when it's 1080p30hz not 60hz
Yeah maybe the tv is too old.. i tried the other hdmi port and it's the same
It only works in 1360x768(85:48)
See on the photo
Thanks for the answer

What a weird scaling
Correct 16:9 would be 1366x768
It kinda looks like your tv straight up doesn't have the bandwidth to go higher than that
My friend's ancient sony tv for retro gaming behaves the same with hdmi
It loses signal when I try to force a higher resolution
Eventhough on normal tv mode, it would run 1080p fine
And yea that display is ancient when I can see scanlines lmao
