I just published a new plugin: signalk-marinetraffic-public. This converts the publically available data available without an API on marinetraffic.com to SignalK vessels, using heavy caching to minimize the chances of being blocked.

Will take a look. MarineTraffic have a very strict rate limiter on the getVesselDetails query, which is needed to resolve MT shipID to MMSI.
If you get blocked you should get unblocked 24 hours later, and since we cache the getVesselData query for a long time, it should be unlikely you get blocked again unless you have a lot of new ships in your areas.
I.e. over time you will cache the shipID to MMSI relationships locally and make less queries against marine traffic so less likely to get blocked.
