Notifications and MediaPlayer not working [FIXED]

I think its my fault... I think i had the old version of hass integration so i removed the integrations things, then removed it in hacs, restarted HA, installed the hass agent 2 thing, used the auto discovery thing, but weirdly my pc showed up with a name i did not use anymore within the hass app(though maybe it shows the machines name, then it would be correct). Anyways, now at least the notify entity and media player entity started showing up, but media player says its unavailable and notifications do not end up on my pc though I send it correctly through the notify.mypc service Thanks for your help :)

Not your fault, there is a flaw in the discovery when device name is changed (flaw on HASS.Agent side that I've almost fixed) Do you have MQTTExplorer?

not yet i was checking in the logs at mqtt because someone on this discord recommended doing that but i didn't see anything

My first guess that under hass.agent/devices there will be two entries, one for old name and second for new name If you can, please check it and let me know

Do you have HA mqtt addon or a docker with mosquitto? In practice it's the same but there are some important differences:D

that one

then it'll be most likely the HA address/ip it will also most likely require username/password but you can get those from the addon

The port for Mqtt is 1883 Homeassistant serves web over 8123, Mqtt will not work on that And the username and password will depend on how you set it up

ok, now please bear with me and the steps 😄 - close HASS.Agent - remove all devices in HASS.Agent Integration in HA - remove all topics from hass.agent/devices in MQTTExplorer - start HASS.Agent HA should discover it, if not, restart HA we have fixes for this in the betas so this should not longer be an issue in the future

what if it does discover it without even starting up hass agent again?
