Built-in controls do not respond on GPD Win Mini (2024)
Installed Bazzite recently to replace Windows completely. On first boot, the built-in controls seemed to be working fine. Subsequent boots made it no longer possible to use these controls. Toggling the manual Controller-Mouse switch on the device does not do anything at all. These issues apply to desktop mode too, as I cannot right click with the switch on Mouse Mode. On controller settings in game mode it says that there is no controller detected. Have updated Bazzite and Steam to no avail. The only thing that works is the built-in keyboard.

Hello, following up with an update. The controls do work again if you go back to Windows and use GPD's calibration software.
However, I think one is SOL if you don't have a Windows partition to do this. Also, the controls (sometimes) stop working again if you reboot or switch the manual Mouse-Controller toggle. Sucks.
Update 2: This workaround ceased to function now. Controls work fine in Windows but once I boot into Bazzite they don't.
did you try disablign the gyro?

did you reflash the firmware?
Reflashing controller firmware yes. Just reattempted this again. Doesn't make a difference when booting back into Bazzite

Yes, I have the built-in keyboard and that inputs fine

Yeah strange, at a loss on what to do. If there is no foreseeable solution then I might abandon Bazzite then. Thank you for your work

Maybe, but would those issues not extend to Windows as well if that were the case? Controls on Windows have worked flawlessly, and the Mouse-Keyboard toggle works as it should

Okay, sleep works alright in Windows from my limited testing. On some occasions there's a delay for the device to actually sleep but it's usually a few seconds. Otherwise on wake it's fine. Controls pick up instantly.
Pressing buttons doesn't wake it either (lid closed), forgot to mention. Sleep works fine aside from what's assumedly Windows jank
Oh I do recall though that in the fleeting time I had controller input on Bazzite the controls did take seconds to pick up after sleep compared to instantly from Windows
