Image files not appearing in upload location.
I've set up immich on an OMV docker compose, and am having an issue where the images i upload to immich do not appear in their upload location as designated in the environment. I am very new to setting up this sort of thing, so any help is appreciated.

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.maybe i misunderstand how the upload folder is supposed to work, but i'd like to be able to access my files directly in the case i need to on my root NAS storage directory.
Where is your compose file located? The pictures will be in that folder
i see.
is there a way to change that? should i use an external library instead?
Is the storage actually mounted on the docker host?
thats a good question. i dont think it is, its just a separate share folder i use for my general storage. what would that change in this case?
In order to have immich store the files there you would have to mount That path into the docker PC, then specify the upload_location
i see, gotcha
Currently it looks like you just .. wrote the folder name and expected it to somehow find it?
it's not really clear to me where the storage is versus where the docker is running, but you would dhave to connect those somehow in order to store the files
yeah, its been a long day. been setting things up, so im a bit out of it haha.
would setting it up as a share folder then linking the directory in the environment work fine? or should i specifically mount it under that particular line? ive seen it done both ways for things like this, though im unsure i f its applicable here. i am afraid that i fully misunderstood something lol, i should just be able to bind mount the directory i want within the docker-compose.yml, right?

Yes, you can just do that. The upload location variable is optional
hopefully, something like this should work, forgive my lack of knowledge, NAS shenanigans are new territory for me lol.

nope, getting the error "volumes must be a mapping", so i'll need to look into it more.
yeah, im stumped then. i'll see what i can do, but im a bit lost on this haha
You've added the
. which is short for "current directory"You also have tons of spaces and special characters which docker (and Linux) hates
good to know
is there anything i can do to keep my formatting or should i change it?
im gonna assume not, then
