Server freezing?

My immich server is being ran in a docker and this issue had been observed for about a few months over the course of 4 updates, so it is a me problem. I have it going through a nginx proxy and then through cloudflare, I went on the webpage locally and the issue still occurs. After loading a large quantity just scrolling down the list or picking a few videos, immich will just freeze. I cannot access it across any of my devices. All logs out of the containers appear to be clean with routine socket connections and an error or two a day about conversions. But 2 minutes after the freeze, the server will continue working. This appears to happen especially while loading files, one video will load, then the next, and then it will simply stop responding. Its not just the files not loading, the whole website fails to post and the app lists the server as disconnected for the effected period. Its such a unsual issue with no traces of a failure besides the webpage failing. I'm not sure where to look, any suggestions would be appreciated.

There's not a lot to go off in the logs but
Error flushing encoder: Cannot allocate memory
It sounds like you might be running out of RAM?
Sergey Katsubo
"Cannot allocate memory" can be a red herring though
When a video has no I-frames at all (not compliant with H.264), ffmpeg fails with a misleading "Cannot allocate memory" error.

[Issue] Thumbnails are not created automatically, error when creating thumbnails manually (immich-app/immich#16154)

What is your platform: hardware, OS, storage?

I have stopped some services and have about 8 gb of available ram yet the issue still continues. 24 TB of storage, 24x Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @ 2.40GHz, 32GB DDR4, running inside of a docker container on ubuntu server 6.8.0-86-generic/Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS. Its completely stopped responding as of now and fixes with a restart. I don't think it can be any kind of throttling, I'm the only person who uses the services on the server, therefore the cpu consumption is low and so is the ram. Looking at the storage tab on ubuntu cockpit(server manager) I do see errors consistent with the time frame of the freezing, but am unsure if it is something on immich part or my server(probably my server). Or they may have nothing to do with the current issue.

Another freeze today even just loading the site. Issue appears at random.

For these you need to install udisks2-btrfs and udisks2-lvm and so on

New behavior observed, after loading a large amount of images by scrolling down the webpage will freeze, but only on one browser, if it were to be viewed from a different browser or device, the page will still load while the original browser stays frozen. Appearing to be fixed now after enabling http2 on the nginx config.
