Setting NVIDIA Fan Speed w/o nvidia-settings

question
Until recently, I manually controlled the fan speed on my PC by running commands with the nvidia-settings CLI application, like so:
sudo nvidia-settings -a "[fan:0]/GPUTargetFanSpeed=50" #sets the fan to 50% max speed
sudo nvidia-settings -a "[fan:0]/GPUTargetFanSpeed=50" #sets the fan to 50% max speed

After updating Bazzite earlier this week,
nvidia-settings
nvidia-settings
is no longer included in the OS image. Is there a way to control fan speed with nvidia-smi or similar built-in tools? Any insight is appreciated.
