Conflicting settings between accounts

I have two user accounts. One for work, one personal. Personal has sync turned on, the other does not. Changing login from personal to work is fine but when changing back, from work to personal, the sync remains OFF. So, switching accounts, the mobile app inherits the OFF setting, if the previous account had it OFF, but does not inherit the ON setting if the previous account had it on.

It’s even simpler than that: It does not inherit anything and fully resets the backup setting every time you log in.

By design?

as far as I know, yes. You might not want to upload anything to a new account you just logged into.

Understood. Thank you The first login into a new makes sense to default to it being off but subsequent logins into the same account should be remembered, imho.

It's definitely an argument. Immich right now does not support multiple accounts well (or rather, at all). I run two instances myself and just use the browser when I need to access the other one. If you don't need backup on the second server, installing it as a web app might be an option. Works well enough for me at least.
