Home Assistant upgrade to 2025.11 breaks the HASS Agent Mediaplayer
Anybody else have this problem?
The Home Assistant upgrade to 2025.11 breaks the HASS Agent Mediaplayer (The media player entity in Home assistant is not avalable anymore) and upgrading to HAS Agent 2.2.0 Beta 3 does not support active desktop swicthing on Windows 11 IOT Enterprise LTSC while 2.1.1 does.
What Windows 11 version does support active desktop switching with the new HASS Agent Beta 3 Version?, i cannot upgrade Home assistant to 2025.11 because it breaks the Media player so cannot use speech Notifications, in both cases i cannot upgrade Home assistant or HASS Agent.

you upgrade the HA without any changes in HASS.Agent and the media player just breaks?
anything in the logs?
I did a quick upgrade test on my home setup and the media player works:
- HA 2025.11.2
- HASS.Agent 2.2.0-beta3

I see that you use 2.2.0. beta 3 so i first upgrade the has agent but as i said then active desktop switching does not work anymore, but to test the media player with that version i then upgraded to HA to 2025.11.2 the error occurs no media player entity anymore below screenshots & log.
you're using the original integration from LAB02Reserach which is broken due to Home Assistant changes

It works again, any info on the active desktop sensor that stop working (no desktop id's) after upgrading to HASS Agent 2.2.0-beta3? Works fine with 2.1.1
I don't recally any virtual desktop library changes since 2.1.1 however the LTSC version of windows have been alway a bit finicky in that regard, do you have HASS.Agent logs of 2.2.0-beta3 (with debug option enabled in settings)?

I removed all old installation and install it fresh i only use same api number and id for Home assistant setup new desktop does not give me an desktop id, i don't see anything related to the library in the log

are you installing HASS.Agent with the installer or using the "portable" version?

ok, there was indeed a change in the library, 2.1.1 has
and 2.2.0-beta3
now question is what was the change that causes issues on your LTSC version

v6.7.0 adds support for 26100.0000
probably before that the library matched config to other version that was working ok, now it matches to 26100.0000 which doesn't work for 26100.6899

not only do they nor provide proper way to interact with virtual desktops, they change internal ID for COM interfaces that this library uses which makes every windows update a lottery
so
crap, i had the same problem with W10 ltsc version.... so i switched to w11 ltsc....
yeah, I get the struggle, I was on LTSC version like for ever, then got iritated with some issues and switched to education version
few months ago switched to linux as my daily driver
I use windows only for HASS.Agent development lol
