Help with getting immich back up
Long story short, I've ended up doing a fresh install of Immich on HexOs/TrueNas. Before doing this however I took a full copy of the Immich data directory, which I have now re uploaded, however none of the images or albums are displaying. Is there something else I need to do to get my stuff back?

If this ticket can be closed you can use the /close command, and re-open it later if needed.Appologies, I'm new to server hosting, I don't know where to get .env and logs files.
The data directory alone is not enough to restore Immich. You need the Database as well.
Ah it was the database getting corrupted that prompted me to try a full reinstall
So I'll have to re upload everything manually?
Oh hang on I have these?

Yes these are the automated backups made by Immich. You can use these to restore the DB.
Without a DB backup you need to re upload all data
Cool 😄 How do it use these?
Follow the guide 🙂
For TrueNAS follow the note about the DB_SKIP_MIGRATIONS
Ok first of the n00b questions, how do I run this

I'm just going to chalk this up to not knowing what I'm doing 😂 I'll pay the price of having to re upload everything then read up on proper back ups. Thanks for your help and time @Finn

Apart from proper backup strategies, you should look into how to access the console of your NAS to run these commands (via UI or SSH). Immich is not exactly what we recommend as a first self hosted project here, as the data is rather valuable and a lot of things can go wrong. Take your time to understand how everything works 😁
