just a thought : have you tried disabling the laptop main screen, and making TV/Monitor the main display ?

I'm using desktop mode on a laptop, the main screen is the external monitor, the internal one is disabled. Game mode has issue on nvidia, if I recall correctly

yeah, that's what I was thinking about. Did you follow the procedure ? I'm not using Game Mode, I'm fine with Desktop since I don't use it as a console

just to make sure you didnt do anything wrong, run these one by one and screenshot/copy paste the output: kscreen-doctor -o cat ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf rpm-ostree status -v

copy paste these and run them on the terminal:
mkdir -p ~/.config/environment.d
touch ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
echo "OUTPUT_CONNECTOR=HDMI-A-1" > ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
mkdir -p ~/.config/environment.d
touch ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
echo "OUTPUT_CONNECTOR=HDMI-A-1" > ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
do not use sudo then try gaming mode again sorry, there was a lost symbol there. if it failed, try it again

just to be sure, the 10-gamescope-session.conf file has the correct line right? as in "OUTPUT_CONNECTOR=HDMI-A-1" without the "s? this should be the correct environment variable 🤔
