just a thought : have you tried disabling the laptop main screen, and making TV/Monitor the main display ?
Yeah but idk how to do it in the gaming mode, i did it in desktop mode but it dont work
I'm using desktop mode on a laptop, the main screen is the external monitor, the internal one is disabled. Game mode has issue on nvidia, if I recall correctly
you want this doc: https://docs.bazzite.gg/Handheld_and_HTPC_edition/quirks/?h=display#how-do-i-specify-the-correct-monitor-for-gaming-mode-to-use-htpc-only
Steam Gaming Mode Quirks and Workarounds - Bazzite Documentation
Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices.
yeah, that's what I was thinking about. Did you follow the procedure ?
I'm not using Game Mode, I'm fine with Desktop since I don't use it as a console
I just follow the procedure and it didn't work
idk what is going on
I'm still a noob, maybe you could post on the Bazzite reddit to get more help ?
are you on gnome or kde?
kde
just to make sure you didnt do anything wrong, run these one by one and screenshot/copy paste the output:
kscreen-doctor -o
cat ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
rpm-ostree status -vThe terminal said that this: cat ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf
dont exist
yeah so the file wasn't created correctly
do this
kscreen-doctor -o and post the outputi have to post the output were ?
here ?
yes
HDMI-A-1 3c6f85de-297b-44ff-82fd-54d62b9b9600
is HDMI-A-1 your laptop's or your monitor's?
monitor
its the second display
as the terminal said
copy paste these and run them on the terminal:
do not use sudo
then try gaming mode again
sorry, there was a lost symbol there. if it failed, try it again
its ok
but it dont work
what is the output of
ls ~/.config/environment.d?
also rpm-ostree status -v
and what is the other display you have other than HDMI-A-1?When i enter: ls ~/.config/environment.d the terminal said: 10-gamescope-session.conf
and for the: rpm-ostree status -v I have this:

The output 1 (My creeen laptop): eDP-1 b4cca0cc-1c2a-4091-910f-7722a576915c
The output 2 (The external monitor): HDMI-A-1 3f9d20e3-d324-4f5a-a208-851338ed5bae
just to be sure, the 10-gamescope-session.conf file has the correct line right? as in "OUTPUT_CONNECTOR=HDMI-A-1" without the "s?
this should be the correct environment variable 🤔
idk, i did exactly what you said, idk how to verify it
run
cat ~/.config/environment.d/10-gamescope-session.conf and post a screenshot
yeah that seems correct
i'm not sure how to proceed from here, sorry 😔
its ok man
thx for your help
