Cross-account CNAME issue (error 1014)

In Cloudflare account 1, I have www.foo.com, which is proxy CNAMEd to www.bar.com. In Cloudflare account 2, I have www.bar.com, which is proxy CNAMEd to origin.bar.com. I own both Cloudflare accounts. I want to set it up this way because we have tooling that manages zones in account 2 and we want the flexibility to route to zones in account 2 from any other record in account 1 (or any other account for that matter). When I hit www.foo.com, I get the dreaded 1014 error. I understand it's Cloudflare security blocking the request (for valid reasons), but I'm not sure how to go about it. I've heard reaching out to Cloudflare support is an option as they can allow exceptions. Any other ideas?

Redirect one domain to another
If you have an alias domain that only forwards traffic to another domain (that is, the domain does not have an associated origin server of its own), you can set up redirects directly within Cloudflare.

Cloudflare for SaaS
Cloudflare for SaaS allows you to extend the security and performance benefits of Cloudflare's network to your customers via their own custom or vanity domains.

@Frerduro redirect is not what we're trying to do.. we want to serve the domain at the original URL - not issue a redirect. yes, Cloudflare for SaaS is an option... not sure if it'll fix our problem but it sounds like it might
