My corne doesnt register key presses

Im having trouble with my corne that doesnt want to register key presses. I have flashed it and i can connect to the studio via usb. I cant connect to bluetooth and i cant press any buttons at all to reset it. The nice!view with the counter isnt showing anything either.

If ZMK Studio sees the board over USB but no keys or display work and BLE won’t connect, that almost always means the nice!nano isn’t actually talking to the PCB (headers/sockets/orientation), or the wrong firmware is flashed.

- Is this happening on both halves or just the left?
- With USB plugged in, flip the power switch ON anyway (up).
- Press the physical reset button on the PCB: do you see a tiny blue LED blink on the nice!nano?
**Check nice!nano mounting**
- The nice!nano should be face down: the side with chips/logo facing the PCB.
- It must be fully seated in the headers/sockets; push down on the plastic of the headers until there’s no visible gap.
- Make sure there are no pins in B+ / B- and that every other pin has a good solder joint on both the PCB and the nano sockets (if soldered).

From what you describe (no keys, no BLE, no display, but ZMK Studio sees the board) we’re down to two main possibilities:

Firmware mismatch
nice!nano not actually connected to the matrix (headers/sockets/orientation)

All of our Corne wireless guides/firmware assume a nice!nano v2.
If your MCU is a different board, that would very easily explain:

Our UF2 flashing “works” but
No keys, no BLE, no nice!view output

because the pinout and board definition don’t match.

To figure out what will work, I need a bit more info:

**What exactly is the MCU?**
- Read anything printed on the PCB (e.g. “nice!nano v2”, “XIAO nRF52840”, “nRFMicro”, etc.).
- When you enter bootloader, what is the USB drive name? (

**Where did the Corne/MCU come from?**
- Is this a Typeractive Corne kit, or a different vendor’s board?
**Which firmware did you flash?**

If it’s not a pin‑compatible nice!nano (or clone), then:

Typeractive UF2 files from will not work correctly.
You’ll need firmware built for that specific MCU + this Corne shield from the MCU vendor’s or keyboard vendor’s repo.
